Sig LT-40

  • Completed Fall 2008
  • Built as taildragger
  • Initially flew with RCV 58-CD; never ran well so replaced Spring 2009 with OS 46AX
  • Crashed on landing at MVRC Spring Fun Fly, easily fixed
  • Flew all summer on OS until replaced with Magnum 70 4-Stroke late in the summer
  • Wing bolts fell out and crashed on short final on one of first flights on Magnum
  • Tank leak from crash not discovered and ended up filling fuselage with fuel
  • Disassembled to clean and discovered cracked receiver housing and half-broken antenna wire
  • Currently has radio gear removed and earmarked for Sig Kavalier build
